The brand was created in 1981 by employees of a bicycle shop who had already been modifying many MTB bicycles since 1978, to ride in the difficult conditions of the west coast of Canada (Vancouver).
It was in 1984 that a legendary model appeared : The Blizzard. They collaboration with Chris Dekerf and Paul Brodie who is part of the TBG (The Bicycle Group) for the manufacturing of brazed frames.
From 1989 they studied a titanium frame with Maurice Lavoie. It was in 1990 that it appeared in the catalogue: The Titanium, which was finally subcontracted to Litespeed.
It will be replaced by the Ti Bolt in 1993 and 1994 made by Sandvik. Rocky Mountain has had many renowned riders race on it.
